“The curious paradox is, that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change”
Carl Rogers
What To Expect At Your Visit
We might find times in our lives when we are struggling to cope, feel anxious and depressed, lost and hopeless, or feel unhappy in relationships. Therapy can be a place to make sense of experiences both past and present, exploring repeated patterns that might keep us stuck and prevent us from making the changes we would like to in life.
My style of working is collaborative, where we explore together - in a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space - the difficulties that you are currently facing. My aim is to help you work through the issues you choose to bring, gaining insight, understanding and compassion for the things that may have shaped you and the way you relate to yourself and others, as well as finding ways forward in the present.
I offer individual counselling for adults aged 18+. My fee for a 50-minute session is £55. I provide long-term or short-term therapy, depending on your needs. Zoom and telephone sessions are also available. Please contact me to arrange an initial session or phone call to discuss how we might work together.
About Me
I’m a psychotherapist based in Norwich. I have worked face-to-face with clients for more than a decade, initially specialising in addictions. I completed my training in London, holding an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and am a registered member of the BACP.
I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on different approaches depending on my clients' specific needs. Working relationally is what brings these styles together for me as a therapist, believing that a warm, empathic, and attuned relationship is what allows for exploration, growth and healing to take place, especially if such relationships have been missing in our lives.
I work with clients around a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, addiction, relationships, identity, loss, trauma and life changes. I have a special interest in working with issues around gender and sexuality, as well as experience working with LGBT, transgender and queer communities.
I am a BACP Registered Member
